Skippy came out with me to check on the kale. I love the way the snow collects on his thick fluffy fur and doesn’t melt. posts about Skippy

Happy New Year!

It looks like Skippy’s resolution this year is to catch up on his sleep! Well, he had a big night out. Skippy was a lucky puppy to be invited out to party on New Year’s Eve, but then (like many of us) he’s paying for it the next day. Looks like Skippy was good this year. There’s a stocking that smells good (to him) hanging by the fireplace. I told him he has to wait ’til tomorrow. posts about Skippy

Skippy sure loves the snow! He found a bunch of other dogs at the sledding hill and I’m sure they had as much fun as the kids. One of the other dogs he found was another PWD named Skipper! Skippy is the one in the bright orange collar (and generally in the center of my photos). posts about Skippy

it’s nice to be home…

New England is even colder now, the fields are still bare and frozen. But how nice to come home! Skippy jumped and wagged and licked and woofed. I was really happy to see him too! These photos are from our walk through the fields by my garden. Skippy stole my hat. He likes to tease me. He’ll put it down and when I almost get it, he grabs it again and runs away. OMG! Of course he’s MUCH faster than me.

The late November fields really are beautiful. These are photos from the walk Skippy and I took behind the gardens on Sunday. Temperatures were in the mid 20’s. Brisk and windy. But we both had good coats on. It was nice.

Skippy gets very frisky in the cool weather. Today he was at his best. He ran and ran. He wrestled and played. What fun! The frozen garden is a good open spot for us. Skippy enjoys “wrestling” with me when I wear leather gloves and heavy clothes. He knows just what he can get away with. He attacks my pants. And my sleeves. All with ferocious growling and lots of deep barking. If anyone heard us, they’d think Skippy was winning for sure. I get such a kick out of…
