Skippy gets a haircut much more often than me. Every 5 weeks. This clip is a bit different than before. More tapered on the nose. Also not so short as mid summer. The days are cooling off a bit now. Nice to see his eyes again!

One of the nicest things about coming back home after vacation is to see Skippy again! My parents took very good care of him while we were away. He’s happy and healthy and cute as ever!

Skippy on the day before a haircut

Its a big day for Skippy tomorrow. He’s getting a short summer haircut. He’s maybe one of the only dogs in the world who loves a bath. He wags his tail and jumps up into the tub! But then, his fur is so long right now that probably any dog would feel better with a summer haircut.

Skippy steals my sweater!

What fun to be a dog on a beautiful day with a big open space to play on! Skippy’s idea of fun is to steal my sweatshirt and shake it hard. Then he plays keep away with me. Ahh, what fun! We played this game on my parent’s beautiful lawn, which has big purple patches of ajuga flowers that my dad has mowed around. Its one of my favorite sights (and games). I’m hoping to grow a similar lawn myself soon.

A beautiful blue sky today. The same color is reflected in the water. Our weather is getting into the 50’s now. If you look close there are small sprouts of grasses and leaves everywhere. I’ve been meaning to compare this date with my records form previous years. It seems like an early Spring here. (Marion was saying Spring is 4 weeks late in the UK this year.) Skippy’s friend Bannor is visiting this week. This is our first walk together. I’ll add more photos of the two buddies. Fragmentary Blue…
