garden gifts

I received some cool gifts for Christmas. Buzz-Off items: gardening gloves, an apron with lots of pockets for garden tools and a great cap. Also vegetable note cards. (I suppose those plastic wine glasses aren’t really garden items…)

  • Sure they are, you can take a plastic glass of wine out to enjoy while gardening, no worries about breaking it.

  • Well, you could use the wine glasses to, say, toast another successful season in the garden, or to celebrate a hard day of work planting seeds…. 🙂 Great gifts – I especially like the veg note cards.

The glasses are useful, we are going to make a sitting area on our allotment and I am going to buy a camping gas cooker so we can have tea and a bacon sandwich on cold Sunday mornings!! Friends have a BBQ each summer on theirs it’s great to see the veggies and flowers while enjoying a party.

  • Hi Kathy, you are a lucky girl, you have to strike a pose with the hole outfit on, please.

  • No good gardener should ever be without plastic glasses, the more wine they hold the better. Though this could lead to watering mishaps and other intoxicated gardeny accidents.

The rest are lovely gardening utensils. My family gave me brightly coloured kids gardening tools – they might be trying to tell me something!!!

  • If I strike a pose it will have to be with the wine glasses full!

I love the thought of a sitting area with a stove for tea on cold mornings. Also a nice garden party. I am still looking for a bench for my plot. I plan to put it under the lilac bush.
