chiles
Even my jalapeños and Hungarian wax peppers are turning red this year. The thinner skinned Hungarian wax and cayennes are drying nicely on a plate in my kitchen. The others I will clean and freeze soon for winter chili.

  • Nice looking peppers!I had a larger percentage of earlier reds this year too…guess they liked the heat.

  • Last year I grew jalepenos and didn’t have any red ones. I’m really pleased to see so many ripening to red this year. I haven’t tried any yet but look forward to this.

Boston has had average temperature this summer (I just looked this up), but we have been unusually dry. Virtually no rain in August. I guess would mean lots of sunshine. I enjoyed all the sun and I guess the chiles did too.
