Today Skippy and I walked through the Belmont Community Gardens. There are many that look great with lots of things still growing. The mild fall weather has been good for gardens. These are a few photos I took:
Hello Kathy and Skippy 🙂 I enjoyed reading all your blog posts. Thanks for sharing all these great moments with your readers. The pictures that you took on your latest post are really great! Aside from soil gardening, I think Skippy will also enjoy an outdoor hydroponics garden. 🙂
You've got a beautiful blog, and I'm glad I found it, as I'm always looking for inspirational gardening blogs. Looking forward to following your gardens!
I've been a regular reader for a couple of years now. Just wanted to thank you for keeping up such an informative, entertaining and inspiring blog! I grow veggies in five 3' x 5' raised beds in Oakland CA. I used to just grow tomatoes and chard, and never did anything from October through April, but now I grow year round and have expanded to pretty much everything from leeks to scallions to lettuce to beets – inspired by you! My faforite crop is always carrots. So rewarding to pull up a big, beautiful sweet carrot!

What is that black plant? Is that a truly black kale?
Several gardens have a very dark purple curly kale growing. Not quite black.
Great information! Thanks very much for putting out this kind of posts.

Can you tell me where you bought your remote thermometer? I want to put it on my Christmas list for family…
