Our sixth day of rain. My rain gauge has 4 inches in it from this week. Overall, the fall crops are growing well in the mud. Not good for garden work though.

You know, I would love to have one inch of that rain right now! We haven’t had a significant rain in at least a month.

I’d be happy to share the rain dave! I’d like to see some sun about now, but if I had to choose, I think more vegetables do good in wet weather than dry weather. And the green and water drops are lovely.

When today’s down pour started I jumped up, grabbed my camera and ran out to the garden to see. I had been hoping to get some good mud photos today.
Saturday looks our next clear and sunny day! I’ll look forward to doing some digging then.
We’ve had too much rain this Summer in England. Nearly all my tomatoes were thrown away from blight. No more over here thank you.

I’ve read that England’s summer has been “one of the wettest and dullest on record” and same here in New England. Even our bumper crop of mushrooms are getting soggy. Arrgh. We’d both like to give lots to Dave.
I’m imaging perfect weather next year, as I already plan my garden.
Perfect weather, better politics, better economy… maybe. Who knows.
