I love the summer squash with the blossoms still attached. I didn’t plant any this year, but I hope to next year. My zucchinni aren’t quite that big yet, but I’m hoping in a couple days I’ll be having them steamed with a little olive oil – MMMMM.
Wow looks gorgeous! Do you plan on eating those squash blossoms? Do you ever harvest just the blossoms to eat if you do? I am growing squash for the first time, and I’m hoping to be able to harvest the blossoms…I haven’t eaten them in years!
I have never eaten the blossoms. I cut them off. I would love to know how to prepare the blossoms.
Oh, the blossoms are fantastic! I have had them in Italy either stuffed and fried, or sauteed and served with pasta. The stuffed and fried recipe can easily be found online, but I have never seen a recipe for the pasta dish. With all those flowers you have, it is a must-try recipe :).
How do you get your onions to get so big? Mine are so small and I planted them in April!!
