November tomatoes

Harvests, Tomatoes

The plants are a little cold nipped on the top, but still lots of tomatoes. The day before we get a frost I’ll pick all the tomatoes and take down the plants.

  • Skippy’s Gardener,

Thanks for the comment last night. That resource is awesome. Good luck with the rest of the season….

  • I hope Noel and this northeastern coming your way won’t affect your garden. The tomatoes look like they can go another month. Your vegetable garden is great

  • I took the front row of tomatoes down yesterday and picked all the tomatoes. I thought it might frost last night, but it didn’t. I also wanted to get a cover crop of winter rye in.

The back row of tomatoes is still standing. Maybe they’ll last another month. I’ll leave them there and see how long they last.

Noel is coming our way tomorrow. We have a storm warning and my garden is supposed to get an inch of rain and 40-50 mph winds tomorrow afternoon. I’ll have to clean up anything that can blow away in the morning.
